Catherine graduated from the University of Queensland in 2003 with a Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology). She was awarded the Accenture Award for Excellence and the Dean’s Commendation for Hight Achievement in 2003. After graduating Catherine worked for Australian Defence Force contractors as a software developer until 2010 when she started her own web development company.
In 2018 Catherine commenced work at the Queensland University of Technology as a programmer for the School of Psychology and Counselling. She works with students and staff to design and implement computer-based psychology experiments. Catherine begun her own postgraduate studies early in 2021 to investigate the challenges that older drivers face while driving at night. She is supervised by Professor Joanne Wood, Professor Allison McKendrick, Associate Professor Philippe Lacherez and Dr Alex Black. She is particularly interested in cognitive science and human-machine interaction.
