The Vision & Everyday Function Research Group is located within the QUT School of Optometry and Vision Science and the Centre for Vision and Eye Research.
Our research group is dedicated to understanding how vision, eye conditions and ageing impact on activities of everyday living. Our research focus is on driver and pedestrian safety, falls and injury prevention, and children’s vision. We employ a variety of laboratory and field-based research methods and techniques to address key research questions in these areas, in conjunction with national and international collaborators across a range of disciplines. Our research group is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to assess vision and eye movements, as well as driving ability, balance and mobility.
