Pain Augmented Relief Method

Pain Augmented Relief Method – Virtual Reality (VR). Sponsored by the Jamieson Trauma Institute, Metro North Health Service (Queensland Health) and QUT’s Engagement Innovation Grant program, this project investigates the co-design of an innovative virtual-reality environment in health. It engages adult burns survivors and adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer in the management of pain, anxiety and boredom through distraction and mindfulness.

The application is currently being trialled in pilot studies.
