QUT Vision Researchers attend 2023 ARVO

The QUT’s Centre for Vision and Eye Research (CVER) were well-represented in New Orleans in April with seven members from the centre attending the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) 2023 Annual Meeting. The 2023 ARVO Meeting was held across five days, from 23 April 2023 to 27 April 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

The CVER members attending ARVO were Michael Collins, Joanne Wood, David Atchison, Alex Black, Prakash Adhikari, Archayeeta (Archi) Rakshit and Asik Pradhan. ARVO is the largest international eye and vision research conference at which CVER members were able to witness first-hand new innovative and cutting-edge vision research, as well as present their own recent research findings and have the opportunity to meet with fellow scientists, like-minded clinical researchers, ophthalmology educators and others.

There were more than 9,800 attendees at the 2023 ARVO Meeting in New Orleans: The most face-to-face attendees at an international vision conference since the COVID pandemic. This meeting will be remembered by all who attended and was truly significant in that for the first occasion in 4 years it brought together scientists, academics, and researchers from countries across the globe.
