Thesis: Improving accuracy in the use of radiotherapy in superficial disease
Keya commenced her PhD Candidature in January 2021 at QUT, Kelvin Grove. She was previously awarded a Master of Applied Science (Medical Physics) at QUT in 2020.
Her master’s study in Medical Physics and the experience working at the hospital has provided her with the insight into how accuracy can be improved in the delivery of radiotherapy and address unmet clinical needs.
Her research investigates the benefits and limitations of different radiotherapy modalities and aims to develop advice to clinicians on the utility of different techniques in different clinical scenarios.
Keya’s Principal Supervisor is Dr Marie-Luise Wille and Associate Supervisors A/Prof Davide Fontanarosa, Adj Prof Scott Crowe (external), Dr Samuel Peet (external), and D/Prof Dietmar W. Hutmacher.
