Celebrating Jacqui's Triumph at the "3 Minute Thesis" Competition

We are thrilled to announce an extraordinary victory for our PhD student, Jacqui, who has emerged as the shining star at the recent “3 Minute Thesis” competition within the esteemed Faculty of Health. Her remarkable presentation on the topic “One Ultrasound to Unlock Independence” has not only captivated the judges but has also elevated the spirit of innovation within our community.

Her dedication to exploring the potential of shear wave elastography within muscles has truly shone through, and we couldn’t be prouder of her remarkable achievement. During her compelling presentation she highlighted the transformative power of a single ultrasound scan in diagnosing and monitoring muscle stiffness problems after a stroke. The innovative approach not only showcases her expertise but also the promise of the technology to shape a brighter future in healthcare.

As Jacqui advances to the next level of the competition at QUT, we stand united in cheering her on! The Graduate Research Student Showcase is on Thursday 14 September, from 11:00am and includes the QUT Grand Finals of the Three Minute Thesis and the Visualise Your Thesis competitions. The winners move on to the international competitions, and you get to vote in the People’s Choice Awards.

Congratulations Jacqui and good luck!
