QUIQ Lab Showcased at QUT Research Infrastructure Day
We were delighted to represent the Quantitative Ultrasound Imaging Lab (QUIQ) at this year’s QUT Research Infrastructure Day—a fantastic opportunity to share our work and connect with colleagues and industry partners from across the university and beyond.
The event brought together research groups making use of QUT’s advanced infrastructure platforms, and it was a privilege to demonstrate how our lab is contributing to innovation in medical imaging, particularly through quantitative ultrasound.
Throughout the day, we had some great conversations with visitors—industry representatives, fellow researchers, and students—about the breadth of projects currently underway in the lab. These include:
-
Capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs) for next-generation scanning
-
Advanced image registration techniques to improve clinical workflows
-
Software development and machine learning
It was also a chance to bring the team together. A big thank you to everyone who dropped by, asked insightful questions, and shared ideas. Events like these are always energising and a reminder of how much potential we have when working across disciplines.
We are excited to continue talking about where ultrasound might go next.
