In late November 2023, QUT hosted Fashion Educators across the tertiary and secondary sectors to look at establishing a Fashion Educators’ Network in SEQ. We were joined by representatives from TAFE, teachers working in private and public contexts and community members. At the meeting we shared insights and concerns across the sector, discussed emerging careers and pathways and enjoyed the opportunity to connect. A focus of the meeting was questioning of how curriculum design responds to the imperative of clothing circularity by 2030. The Network will launch early 2024.
