Rachel is a sessional academic, visual artist and creative entrepreneur. As a research assistant for Textile R, Rachel contributed to the formation of Textile Ed, a network of fashion educators from industry and the secondary and tertiary sectors, and to the Local Circularity page on this website. Rachel tutors in the Schools of Design and Creative Practice. As a visual artist her work centres around collage, turning tiny paper fragments into large gestural works. Her art practice has lead to hosting creative workshops which have been part of public programs at Griffith University Art Museum, Museum of Brisbane, Redlands Gallery and Moreton Bay Regional Council.
