WHO ARE WE?

We are a QUT Faculty of Engineering research group that provides high-impact solutions to industry by integrating sustainable process engineering practices with fundamental science and delivering workforce skills and industry-relevant educational programs.

Our expertise areas

Process engineering

We excel in creating sustainable processes for mineral processing, industrial water treatment, enhancing industrial wastes and low-grade materials. Supporting the process by analytical experts and high-quality instrumentation.

Resource Recovery

We develop processes to recover critical minerals from various sources, including mine waste, medical and industrial wastes. We then transform these resources into customer-specified precursor materials.

Plant and Infrastructure

We provide an extensive and methodical strategy for managing and promoting our partners' projects.

TRL innovation accelerator

Our team is comprised of experts with industry experience. We know the importance of demonstrating the translation of fundamental science into pre-commercial scale outcomes in a timely manner.

Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) are a type of measurement system used to assess the maturity level of a particular technology. There are nine technology readiness levels. TRL 1 (Basic Research) is the lowest, and TRL 9 (System Proven and Ready for Full Commercial Deployment) is the highest.
