EthnoSTEAM and Equity Priority Area, is dedicated to research in STEAM Education particularly in contexts that may have presented little or no opportunities for investigation or exploration of contemporary issues and problems. We draw on the unique strengths of communities and in the process strive to create opportunities for research by encapsulating the voices of the participants on the ground. EthnoSTEAM honors culturally responsive, place-based strategies. The expertise that exists in the communities, schools, and families is the foundation in the production of knowledge for empowerment to achieve equitable and quality STEAM education.
