Paul Bennett is an EdD student, investigating the impact of “Makerspaces” on the engagement and performance of students in Information Technology classes. His passion is in helping young people understand the potential that technology has on society. Paul is a graduate of the Queensland University of Technology with a Diploma of Teaching, Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Education, and a Masters of Education Leadership. In his 35-year career Paul has taken on various roles as a classroom teacher, Head of Department, Head of Information Technology and Deputy Principal in Catholic and private sector schools in Qld. He has also worked in England as a specialist IT teacher. Paul is currently an Assistant Principal in a Brisbane catholic secondary school
