Dr Farha Sattar is a Lecturer in Education (Mathematics) at the College of Indigenous Future, Education and Arts. She is an educator with expertise in mathematical modelling, Maths & geoscience education, spatial technologies, drone technology, remote sensing and STEM education.

Dr Sattar is a certified drone Pilot and Aeronautical Radio Operator. She is well equipped with quantitative techniques and methods and has the experience to supervise research projects at the postgraduate level.

She has been actively engaged in STEM research for the last many years and successfully led research projects related to STEM education.

She has been using innovative approaches to investigate the aspects related to STEM learning. Her research interests include STEM education, integrated STEM, STEM pedagogy, STEM teaching technologies and women in STEM particularly from underrepresented and marginalized groups.

Dr Sattar has been engaged with community organizations and community groups and working for the promotion of STEM education. She has a strong network with NT schools and delivered various interactive and engaging STEM learning sessions for students at Middle and high schools in Northern Territory (NT).

She runs professional development sessions for teachers to upskill STEM learning.

She is the recipient of the STEM Hero of the Year award for NT  – a state-level award.
