Ben Jenkinson is an experienced education leader with a career spanning over 20 years in some of Victoria’s most innovative and high-performing schools, including the STEM-based, Victorian Tech Schools. A senior education executive in Victorian TAFE, Ben is passionate about improving the post-secondary study and career pathway opportunities for youth across Victoria’s South-East region, particularly in STEM. Ben’s professional Doctorate at QUT investigates the co-design of thematic STEM pathway curriculum for VET delivered to secondary students in the field of Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing) at TAFE. Using design-based research methods, Ben’s doctoral study aims to engage young people into vocational pathways for careers in STEM industry and to enhance the representation of VET in Australia’s STEM ecosystem.
