Aminath Waseela is a PhD candidate at the School of Teacher Education & Leadership at QUT. Her current research aims to understand teachers’ knowledge and use of technology in teaching and learning and its impact on student engagement by using TPACK, SAMR and BDT as theoretical frameworks. Prior to commencing her PhD, Aminath worked as the deputy director at the Institute for Research and Innovation, Villa College, in-charge of managing research grant projects and coordinating post graduate students’ research thesis at the college (2014 to 2018). She was also a sessional lecturer for undergraduate and post graduate students at Villa College (2010 to 2018). Aminath has attained a Master of Education (University of Melbourne, Australia), Masters in Research (Villa College, Maldives) and Bachelors’ Degree in Business Information Technology (Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology, Malaysia).
