PhD Research Summary:
Focusing on the content of the Australian construction industry, the broad aim of Thi sPhD project is to address the practical application of AI and robotics in construction to contribute positively towards sustainability. In addition, expand on the current literature in the context of AI and sustainability in construction surrounding knowledge representation and reasoning, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, intelligent optimisation, information fusion and process mining. The PhD research will be multi-faceted that focuses on how AI can contribute to better environmental governance and the development of technological solutions relevant to long-term sustainability. The specific aim of the project is to conduct a comprehensive review of the literatures and develop a framework that acknowledges the existing and emerging application of AI and robotics to increase construction sustainability.
