Acceptance, Impact, and Scenario Analysis of Autonomous Vehicle in the Australian Context
PhD Research Summary:
This research aims to (1) reveal context, trends, patterns of, interconnections among, and research clusters in the last two decades’ (1998-2017) AV research, (2) identify less studied research topics through cluster analysis and systematic review, (3) develop a broader conceptual framework, identifying interrelationships among AV deployment forces, factors, impacts and planning interventions to direct prospective research need, (4) examine customers’ taste on AV acceptance parameters in the Australian context, (5) explore the potential AV impacts in connection to urban & regional planning on the eve of wider AV uptake scenario in 3 Australian cities (Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney), and finally (6) predict plausible AV scenarios for Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
