PhD Research Summary:
This PhD research aims to explore and enhance our understanding on what the key elements that constitute a smart and sustainable campus are. The research develops a comprehensive conceptual framework of smart and sustainable campus planning based on the literature, international best practices, and experts’ views. The study then puts the operationality of the framework into a test in QUT and PNG Unitech case studies, with a particular interest in understanding and contrasting the smart and sustainable campus plan development and implementation challenges in developed and developing country contexts.
