
Marianella Chamorro-Koc is Professor in Industrial Design at Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Her research is situated in the intersection of Health and Industry 4.0 and is focused on exploring people’s interactions and engagement with technologies as part of the emerging technological shift to person-centred digital solutions. Her transdisciplinary applied research has resulted in proof-of-concept prototypes of health-tech devices for people’s self-management of their health, advancing self-health technology innovations and championing viable local manufacturing transformation. Chamorro-Koc’s provide the industrial design expertise, examining the design and human factors as the device is enabled and experienced in situ. She will lead the development of any altered design guidelines, and identification of future changes.
