Genetic relationship between migraine and serum metabolites
Genetic factors are known to contribute to most human traits and disease. The aim of this project is to identify and study the role of genetic factors in risk to both migraine (a painful, throbbing headache disorder that can cause nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound) and serum metabolite levels (numerous low-molecular weight compounds, representing intermediates and end products of metabolic pathways that may reflect physiological dysfunction).
