Evaluating Bowel Cancer Programs

The aim of this project is to review the national bowel cancer screening program for the purpose of informing a new policy framework and identifying potential program modifications or improvements.

Why is this important?

The National Bowel Cancer Screening Program aims to reduce deaths from bowel cancer by detecting the early signs of the disease. Eligible Australians from 50 to 74 years of age are sent a free, simple test that is done at home.

What did we do?

This project was managed by Deloitte’s with the QUT team role in this project being the development of data collection tools and advice on the interpretation of findings.

What did we find out?

Findings are currently yet to be released, but will be updated shortly.
