About
Creating Conversations is an augmented reality experience designed to use interaction design to explore the world in which the residents of Australian aged care live. It uses layers and augmented interactions to find the problems mentioned in the report by the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. Creating Conversations uses Adobe Aero to walk through the layers of an interactive collage and help the users relate to the problems and situations of the residents. This interaction, part of a larger MPhil research project, dives into the question; how might interaction design for extended reality prompt public conversations about Australian Aged Care? By investigating this as a tool to start conversations about this taboo subject of aged care and ageing, it opens a completely new portal of design and its importance in spreading awareness.
