Cesar Ariza Rojas

Research Associate

Cesar Ariza Rojas is a research fellow in the Digital Media Research Centre at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). His research draws on approaches from economics and econometrics, with applications to innovation, information dissemination, and digital communication. He was a research fellow with the ARC Training Centre for Behavioural Insights for Technology Adoption, focusing on healthcare data challenges, as part of a collaboration with the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation. He recently submitted his PhD in the Faculty of Business and Law at QUT, where his dissertation explored transparency and responsibility in information dissemination, with a focus on institutional roles and practices.

Cesar has held academic positions at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and Rosario University in Colombia, where he lectured in econometrics and conducted research on innovation in agriculture, and economics. His work has been published in journals including Internet Research, Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management, Palabra Clave, and the Journal of Latin American Communication Research. He has also contributed to international scholarship through research training and publications in theoretical econometrics. He is also co-author of the book Medición de la innovación agropecuaria en Colombia (Measuring agricultural innovation in Colombia). At QUT, he has assisted in teaching units in applied business analytics, finance, behavioural economics, and econometrics.
