Tamara is a PhD student with a research focus on informed decision-making in intensive care. She has a passion to increase the understanding between disciplines around AI/ML technology, so that technology is used to tackle problems that genuinely required the strength of AI/ML. Tamara hopes to contribute to bridging the gap between technology development and human values. With her PhD, Tamara investigates if and how machine learning can inform decision-making in the ICU, by taking a human-centred approach before matching ICU needs to ICU data. Previously, Tamara graduated from QUT with a Master of Data Science. Before coming to QUT, Tamara gained her legal degree in Freiburg i. Br., Germany, and Coimbra, Portugal. She has experience in different fields, including law, mediation, data science, holistic health, and elderly care. Interests: Data Science, Healthcare, Human-Computer-Interaction, Supported/Informed Decision-making
