Prabhashrini Dhanushika, currently pursuing her PhD studies at the School of Computer Science, QUT. Her research focuses on the intricate domain of medical text classification, under the title “Enhancing Uncertainty Resolution in Multi-Class Medical Text Classification through Bayesian-BERT Fusion.” Prabhashrini’s passion lies in bridging the gap between Bayesian statistics and deep learning methodologies, with a keen interest in refining text classification processes, particularly for boundary data, to achieve greater accuracy.
Prabhashrini’s academic journey began with her undergraduate studies in Statistics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, where she graduated with Honors. Building upon this foundation, she went on to earn her MPhil in Statistics from the same institution.
Following her academic achievements, Prabhashrini transitioned into academia as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka where she imparted her knowledge and expertise in statistics. However, driven by her curiosity and a desire for innovation, she made the bold decision to shift her focus from statistics to the captivating field of deep learning.
Now fully engaged in her research, Prabhashrini is dedicated to exploring the intersection of Bayesian statistics and deep learning, seeking to unravel the complexities of medical text classification.
