PhD Student, School of Computer Science
Nayomi is a PhD student at QUT and conducts research based on feature selection in high dimensional data sets which considers the technology areas machine learning, data mining, and granule mining. Her PhD focuses on building algorithms for feature selection to facilitate specialized classification of continuous data when the data contains uncertainty. The findings will be beneficial in areas such as medical, engineering, economical and many others where there are large datasets to be handled.
Nayomi graduated from University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka, with a Bachelor of Computer Science Hons degree. She has experiences in teaching Computer Science subjects as she worked as a probationary lecturer in Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna.
