
Dan is a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Adam Clements and Associate Professor Chris Drovandi at the Queensland University of Technology. She completed a Bachelor double-degree of Finance and Actuarial Studies, a Master by Coursework degree in Actuarial Studies at the Australian National University. She is currently completing a MPhil in Statistics at QUT. After graduation from ANU, Dan worked as a group insurance risk administrator and individual life insurance pricing analyst, respectively, for a health insurance company and a life insurance company. Her main area of interest lies in computational Bayesian statistics. She aims to apply Sequential Monte Carlo and other Bayesian algorithms in Econometrics to develop more efficient estimation schemes and model selection tools.
