Dan Li

PhD, QUT Business School

I am a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Adam Clements and Associate Professor Chris Drovandi at QUT. I have completed Bachelor double-degree of Finance and Actuarial Studies, a Master by Coursework degree in Actuarial Studies at the Australian National University, and MPhil in Statistics at QUT. After graduation from ANU, I worked as a group insurance risk administrator and individual life insurance pricing analyst, respectively, for a health insurance company and a life insurance company. My main area of interest lies in computational Bayesian statistics. I aim to apply Sequential Monte Carlo and other Bayesian algorithms in Econometrics to develop more efficient estimation schemes and model selection tools.
