Revolutionising water-quality monitoring in the information age (ARC Linkage project)

Project overview

This is an extensive project that will develop novel statistical methods to detect anomalies in the data generated from in-situ sensors placed within river networks across Queensland.

New statistical methods will be developed to position high and low cost sensors throughout the entire network to maximise information gain and ensure accurate prediction of sediment and nutrient concentrations across the entire network through time.

Such information will be immediately useful in the domains of aquatic science and environmental monitoring, and provide a level of detail that has never been previously seen.
