About this event

It is very common to see multiple data generated about the same entity. For example, we review a movie as well as rate them. Data fusion is a technique used to fuse such multiple data for collective knowledge discovery. This talk will highlight how knowledge can be discovered and fused from multiple data using factorization methods such as matrix and tensor factorization.
Dr Thiru Balasubramaniam completed his PhD in Data Science from the QUT in 2020. He is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in the QUT Centre for Data Science focusing on the Applied Data Science theme. His current research involves the development of factorization and deep learning methods for data science applications such as pattern mining, clustering, and recommender systems.
