The World Science Festival Brisbane is featuring Centre Manager Becki Cook as part of its spotlight on “Cool Jobs”. As our Centre Manager, Becki supports researchers, academics, students and community to undertake research in data science. As a proud Nunukul Aboriginal woman, Becki is passionate about her work in Indigenous data literacy, governance and sovereignty – the right of Indigenous peoples to govern the collection, ownership and application about Indigenous communities, peoples, lands and resources.
