Research student Vanessa Porchet recently attended the Galaxy Environments Under the Microscope conference at the European Southern Observatory in Garching, Germany. The event brought together international experts using cutting-edge instruments, such as ALMA, JWST, and the VLT, to explore the small-scale physics driving galaxy evolution. Vanessa presented a poster showcasing one of QUT’s research projects and its implications for the ASKAP EMU project. The conference also offered a valuable opportunity to engage with the global astronomy community and explore potential future partnerships and collaborative networks with other facilities.
