Make a Real Difference and join Australia's First Nudgeathon!

Nudgeathon is a behavioural change competition, in which students develop solutions to real-life social issues.

In collaboration with Warwick Business School, UK; the Behavioural Economics Team of the Australian Government (BETA) in the Office of Prime Minister and Cabinet, and the Government of Queensland, QUT’s Queensland Behavioural Economics Group (QuBE) is bringing the first Nudgeathon to Australia!

We invite teams of 4-6 students, undergraduate and postgraduate, as well as teams from government departments and agencies and the private sector from all over Australia to compete in a three-day Nudgeathon to be held at QUT Gardens Point campus in Brisbane. Using principles of behavioural science, 10 teams of 4-6 students will work on a problem brief and present their solutions to a panel of expert judges. Winners will be announced on day three. The winning proposal will be presented to government with the goal of being implemented either at Commonwealth or State level.

Date:     17-19 September 2017
Location: QUT Gardens Point campus, Brisbane

This inaugural event is generously sponsored by the Behavioural Economics Team of the Australian Government (BETA) and Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ).
