Steve worked in the design and construction of material recovery facilities and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical from QUT in 2009. He then specialised as a contract commissioning engineer for the resources industry.
In 2021 he completed a Bachelor of Engineering – Electrical while working full time in a demanding role as a stay at home parent. For his honors project he developed a working prototype of a proposed Antarctic Rover platform.
Steve is currently perusing his PhD in Scene understanding for Lunar Rovers with the goal of improving autonomy in future robotic missions on the moon. Steve enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, mountain biking, Lego, board-games, and tinkering in his workshop.
