Dr Grant Hamilton and Jim Eldridge from the Hamilton Ecology Lab attended the 2016 UAS4RS conference where all things drones and remote sensing were spoken about and presented on. The conference showcased many projects that are currently being undertaken that are linking UAS technologies with data collection in the fields of ecological and environmental remote sensing. Keynote speakers included Dr Catherine Ball (Elemental Strategy), Urs Treier from the University of Aarhus, Denmark and Ben Sparrow, Director of Ausplots. Dr Felipe Gonzalez, a colleague working on the current project PBCRC 2135, presented work on this project at the conference. It was an enjoyable and informative two days.
