
Dr Felicitas Vernen completed a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology at the Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany) in 2013. After working as a research assistant, she started her PhD in 2015 under the supervision of Dr Sónia Troeira Henriques (main supervisor), Dr Nicole Lawrence and Prof David Craik (co-supervisors) at the Institute for Molecular Biosciences, the University of Queensland (UQ). Her research focused on a host defence peptide with anticancer properties. Previous research experience includes bioprocessing with filamentous fungi and bacteria.
Dr Felicitas Vernen was awarded a PhD in January 2020 from UQ.
