Following post-doctoral positions at La Trobe University and the Australian Synchrotron, Michael joined QUT in 2018 as a Research Infrastructure Specialist with a focus to develop novel synchrotron based experimental techniques across a wide range of science and engineering disciplines. He joined the PIXL team in 2019 and uses his expertise in the interactions of X-rays with matter to use the PIXL data to find novel solutions to outstanding geological questions on Mars.
