Prof Yates is the Head of School of Nursing at QUT. She is an international leader in research relating to cancer and palliative care. Her research, drawing on a range of research approaches enables sophisticated knowledge production that is, in turn, translated to better patient outcomes. Prof Yates is a co-investigator on the ARC, RESPONse, and Gilead projects being undertaken by the Paediatric Palliative Care & Support Research Group.
