Dr Bowers is a Research Fellow with the School of Nursing at QUT. Her PhD research involved a detailed examination of a range of data sources to identify the nature, scope and configuration of current paediatric palliative care health services in Queensland and the perspectives of children with life-limiting conditions and their family members about palliative care. Dr Bowers is currently leading the epidemiological component of the ‘Survivorship and Palliative Care in Child and Adolescent Brain Cancer’ project (CASPER).
