Mission statement

Over the past two decades, paediatric palliative care has emerged as a recognisable sub-specialty. As services expand, there is an increasing need for high quality research that supports clinical practice. The Cancer and Palliative Care Outcomes Centre aims to provide national leadership in research initiatives that support paediatric palliative and supportive care across Australia. With activities ranging from foundational research through to workforce development initiatives, the centre will enhance the capacity for evidence-based practice that optimises the care provided to children with life-limiting, or life-threatening conditions and their families.
