PhD Student - An FPGA-based High-speed Communications System to Support the Control and Operation of High-power, High-fidelity, Modular Amplifiers

Principal Supervisor: Dr Mark Broadmeadow

Associate Supervisor: A/Prof Geoff Walker (Mentoring Supervisor)

PhD Overview

This research aims to inform the development of an optimal communications system to support the control and operation of high-power, high-fidelity, modular PHIL amplifiers. To address the requirements for synchronisation, latency and reliability, this research will investigate protocols, topologies and synchronisation mechanisms suitable for application to very high module count power amplifiers.
