Populations worldwide are ageing. The breadth of the challenges arising from our ageing population are nationally and globally significant. Select challenges for older people include:

  • accommodation (including retirement villages and aged care facilities)
  • elder abuse
  • human rights of older persons, including discrimination and ageism

The Planning for Healthy Ageing Research Program is a formal program of the Australian Centre for Health Law Research.
