The Participants

In total, four teachers and approximately 100 students (5-7 years), across the four classrooms, participated in the study. The classroom curriculum was informed by the Australian Curriculum, which includes an overarching framework of capabilities which guides teachers to explore intercultural understanding for global citizenship through valuing cultures, languages, and beliefs; and understanding that identities and culture are dynamic and created by mutual respect (ACARA, 2016).
