Biography
My research area is the development of nanomaterials and biosensors for the detection of biomolecules like disease biomarkers and drug therapeutics in biological fluids using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). I also fabricate plasmonic nanostructured substrates for selective and highly sensitive capture of biomolecules. I also work on drug delivery technology, particularly, dry powder inhaler formulations for pulmonary drug delivery, oral drug delivery, controlled release dosage forms, nanoparticle synthesis, drug loading, and in-vitro and in-vivo correlation (IVIVC). I am also developing field-deployable SERS detection methods for illicit drugs in the presence of interferents.
