Abstract:
Optical sensors are highly required especially for the detection of heavy metal ions and biomolecules in environmental monitoring and molecular diagnosis applications. This research will focus on the synthesis, characterization and utilization of new benzothiazol and DPP dyes for the development of optical sensors and biosensors with great selectivity and sensitivity towards target environmental toxins, biomarkers, proteins and amino acids. The new dyes will be used as probes for the detection of target analytes by UV-VIS, Fluorescence and/or Raman spectroscopy.
