Awarded the University medal for her Honours degree, Melinda joined the CARRS-Q research team and is now with the . Melinda loves being the ‘right-hand man’, providing support for the nitty gritty background processes from study design, recruitment, data collection and data analysis. She values both quantitative and qualitative research, with a particular fondness for conducting in-depth interviews.
Eager to learn, Melinda appreciates being involved in a variety of research projects and finds herself particularly drawn to topics around connected and automated vehicles, advanced vehicle technologies, active travel, and road safety advertising.
She is also keen to incorporate her graphic design skills into her research career and enjoys creating infographics and (learning to create) data visualisations to translate research findings into media that is more digestible for the public.
