
Summary
Thanuja Herath is a Molecular & Cellular Biologist with research focus on Bone Bioengineering and Immunology. Thanuja graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong in 2012. During her PhD, she received a number of prestigious awards from the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) for her research work. Thanuja has successfully completed Immunology and Cell biology courses at the Pasteur Institute of The University of Hong Kong. She did her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Dental Centre Singapore, focusing on bone bioengineering. Thanuja is the first dental scientist to receive a National Medical Research Council Open-Fund Young Individual Research Grant in Singapore. Currently, Thanuja is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Bock Research Group.
