Dr. Paul Ritter earned his PhD from the Institute of Medical Biotechnology at Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. As an engineer at FAU, he has been instrumental in developing and supporting various biomechanics and tissue engineering laboratory devices already in use worldwide. His areas of expertise include biomechanics, tissue perfusion technology, prototyping, bioreactor engineering, and software engineering. Notably, he has contributed significantly to bioreactor engineering and automated biotechnology, particularly in adaptive in-line feedback technology. Currently, Dr. Ritter is focused on developing and improving data analysis software specifically tailored for studying large datasets of cartilage and hydrogels at MPQC.
