Summary
Dr. Jingxiao (Jane) Zhong received her PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Sydney, supported by the Australian Commonwealth Government and the Research Council. Her major research interest is in multiscale characterisation of soft-tissue structure and the associated biomechanics through dynamic biological processes to achieve the demanded biological functionalities. After establishing a broad range of international collaborations (Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, China and Canada) with hospitals, universities and research institutes she now expanded research into micromechanics of biological ceramics when starting a postdoc fellowship at the Max Planck Institute of Colloid and Interfaces in January 2024.
