The Use of Hybrid Imaging in Radiotherapy Treatment Planning

We are investigating how hybrid imaging techniques such as PET/CT and PET/MRI can be used to improve the accuracy of radiotherapy treatment planning. As part of this project we are also interested in how pseudo CT data can be created from MRI data for dose calculations during the treatment planning process. The project is a collaboration with the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and makes use of state of the art clinical imaging facilities at the Herston Imaging Research Facility (HIRF).
