Research Program: My research program focuses on investigating the neural and cognitive mechanisms responsible for language processing, how these mechanisms are affected by brain tumours and stroke, how our genome helps us speak, and how language recovery can be facilitated by various treatments. Research Areas: Neurobiology of language and memory; Cognitive neuroscience; Neuroimaging; Psycholinguistics; Current and Past Grants:
- A more sound approach to the neurobiology of language. Greig de Zubicaray, Katie McMahon, Jo Arciuli, & Frank Guenther. (Australian Research Council Discovery Project Grant DP150103997)
- How the brain produces speech: Neuronal oscillations to neuromodulation. de Zubicaray, G., McMahon, K., Brownsett, S., Piai, V., & Liegeois-Chauvel, C. (Australian Research Council Discovery Project Grant DP200100127)
- Concepts and control in speech production. de Zubicaray, G., Meinzer, M., McMahon, K. (Australian Research Council Discovery Project Grant DP150103997)
- A prospective study of language impairment and recovery following surgery for brain tumours. de Zubicaray, G., Robinson, G., Copland, D., McMahon, K., Drummond, K., Phal, P. (National Health and Medical Research Council Project Grant APP1079157)
- Neural mechanisms of language facilitation in aphasia due to transcranial direct current stimulation. Meinzer, M., Copland, D., McMahon, K., de Zubicaray, G. (National Health and Medical Research Council Project Grant APP1085272)
